Change of Venue for the 18th to 19th May Ideal Homes Vinduro

Will now be held at the Collie Motorplex forest.

The prolonged dry weather at the Arthur River venue, has forced the club to move the event to Collie which has had a much greater rain fall. The course at the Motorplex forest will follow the tracks used last year, which was reckoned to be one of the best tracks to be marked at the Collie Vinduro.

The event will still be an invitational event with members from the classic MXWA and VMX clubs, the weekend club membership fee being waved.

Event cost is $60 if pre registered on the rider net website before 11th May or $70 after, including on the day. That is for the Saturday and Sunday, 2 days of vintage enduro fun for only $70.

The only people allowed on the loop before 11.00am Saturday are the designated track markers and officials.

Sign on from 10:00am Saturday and 8am Sunday. You can sign on any time after the aforementioned times. Riders must wear correct safety gear. Riders briefing at 10.30 am (Sat). Track will be open from 11.00am Saturday depending on officials being present, and 8am (Sun), safety brief to be given to all riders who turn up at other time All bikes must be pre-1995, the only modern bikes will be used by designated personnel for safety reasons only. We do not wish to offend by having to tell someone their bike is ineligible. Please check if you have any doubts.

All riders taking part in this event must have Ambulance cover.

This is a two day event. You can however ride just Saturday or Sunday if you wish. Please be aware of the 12.30pm finish time on the Sunday. This time can be changed at the discretion of the Clerk of Course. This still gives you four hours of riding on the Sunday.

Children: All children riding on the loop must be in company of a responsible adult. All children riding on any other area must be supervised by a responsible adult. No adult accompaniment or supervision, no ride. This is for safety of all concerned and will not be varied.

Saturday: The loop will be open from 11.00am and close at approximately 5.00 pm at the discretion of the Clerk of Course.

Sunday: The loop will be opened from 8.00 am and close at approximately 12.30 pm at the discretion of the Clerk of Course.

Sorry guys, the shire of Collie has extended their current fire bat until 25th April, no internal combustion engines allowed in areas of vegetation.

So we have no choice but to cancel our event.

Many thanks to all the volunteers that have put their energies into the organization and setup for this event.

Any one who is wanting to ride, I strongly recommend the VMX Collie event, which will go on this weekend

20 to 21st April

Location
Approximately 2:45 hour south of Perth, two ways in to the Motorplex from Collie. As shown on the Map below travel either via Preston Rd or follow the main rd east out of Collie and Turn right down Piavanini Rd past the Collie MX club. Follow the signs to the Motorplex. The event is for both adults and children (under 16yrs)

Drive past the Motorplex entrance and look for the VinduroWA sign(hopefully I’m there before you) at the next large bitumen turn off to the right. Travel up through the boom gate and large tyres, continue, you will come upon a large triangle intersection. Look for directions at that point.

Bikes:  Any bike manufactured pre-January 1st 1995. Bikes do not need to be registered.  The only modern bikes will be those used by Vinduro Club officials. Please check if you are in any doubt.  Ladies and over 65 competitors may ride pre 2005 electric start bikes.  Juniors may ride any era bike.

Juniors:  Must be accompanied by an adult when on the loop. All juniors are the responsibility of their accompanied adult whilst at the event.

Entry : $60.00 Seniors. REGISTRATION THROUGH RIDERNET BEFORE FRIDAY 5th April

After the 5th of April: A late payment fee will apply. $70.00 Seniors. $25.00 Juniors accompanied by a fee paying adult. All entrants must be Vinduro Club Members. The price is for the Weekend. Ride Saturday and Sunday as you like.

Bring a Friend : Any member of the club can “Bring a Friend” to one event this year (excluding the black diamond enduro). This means,any member can invite a friend to come along and have a go at vintage enduro on any more modern bike. They will have to pay for a weekend membership ($20) and the event fee. The weekend membership can only be used once, If the guest wants to ride another event, it is expected they join the club and get a pre 95 eligible bike..

You can ride Saturday or Sunday or both days, it is your decision, for the one price. We have brought the start time forward whenever possible to 11.00 am on Saturday.

Saturday: The loop will be open from approximately 11.00am provided there are sufficient officials available. last rider out at 5.0pm. Pre 1995 bikes only

Sunday: Riders meeting at approximately 8.00 am. Loop open at 8.15. The finish time for the event on Sunday will be confirmed and agreed at the Riders meeting. The event finish time can vary from 1.00pm to 3.30pm. You need to be at the riders meeting to have your say !!

Cleaning up and de marking : A great deal of planning and effort goes into every event. Please help with the demarking and clean up. We would normally expect to start demarking by 11.00 Sunday and are always appreciative of any help. Please make sure you clean your own are and take your rubbish home.

Juniors:  Must be accompanied by an adult whilst on the loop.
